【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulfordeterminingthechangetothelistedproperties(see1.1.1and1.1.2)andifthechangesareacceptablefortheintendeduse.Thistestmaybeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofbuttons.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenthereportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem.Asaminimum,testsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Thetestresultsforthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodisameansofdeterminingtheeffectofdrycleaningoncertainphysicalattributesofbuttons.Thetestmethodappliestobuttonsmadefromplastics,naturalmaterials,castmetal,stampedmetalandelectroplatedplastic.1.1.1Theobservedattributesofbuttonsmadefromplasticandnaturalmaterialsinclude:colorchange,colortransfer,solubility,swelling,andlossoffinish.1.1.2Theobservedattributesofbuttonsmadeofmetalandelectroplatedbuttonsinclude:colorchange,oxidationandcolortransfer.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
